Brunch at Sevva

I am on diet. Or at least I say so. I’ve realized being on a diet and eating out can be so challenging because its not about what you order but all those calorific but hard to resist freebies (aka bread/petit fours). I finally had the chance to go to Sevva during day light and experience the colorful and pretty restaurant on a sunny and clear day.

The food was pretty good, I would’ve ordered something unhealthier (read: yummier) if it wasn’t for the scale this morning. Nonetheless it was a commendable brunch.

To start off, the bread basket. I think should be absolutely for every bread basket to have muffins (walnut/raisin and chocolate chip). They also had banana bread, poppy seed loafs and flat bread. I particularly loved the flat bread which were seasoned with some turmeric.

Trying to be healthy, we got a side of beets and greens.

Thats, scrabbled egg white on ratatouille and spinach with toast on the side. That toast was sooo yum, it soaked all the flavor from the ratatouille, and wasn't soggy at all!

Of course when there is something salty there should be something sweet. That delicous thing is french crepes with honey comb and caramelized apples. Utterly yummy. Not too sweet and the crunchy apples and honeycomb could not match the crepes better.

Overall I was quite happy with the food, but more than that, you should go to this place if you want to see beautiful Hong Kong but not sweat in the heat. They have indoors and al fresco seating. The sofas/chairs are very comfy, in fact we just ended up chatting half the afternoon and the staff was very accommodative with that.

Cost: 400-500pax not including drinks
